Ms. Wenzel's

Hello Parents and Students! 

My name is Brittany Wenzel and I love being a kindergarten teacher!  This is my 14th year of teaching and my 11th year here at Pike Lake teaching kindergarten.  I enjoy helping students learn, grow, and find their independence!

I was married in the summer of 2021 but am still going by my maiden name.  Both my grandma and mom were teachers so I come from a long line of Ms. Wenzel's!  My husband Phil and I live in Minneapolis with the cutest black cat I know!

 

I grew up in Reedsville, Wisconsin just south of Green Bay and moved to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a social justice minor.  I began my career teaching 1st grade at a charter school in Minneapolis before coming to Mounds View in 2014.  In 2015 I finished up my Master of Elementary Education Degree at the University of Minnesota.

 

 When I'm not at Pike Lake you might find me trying new restaurants with my husband, cooking, gardening, going for hikes/walks, practicing yoga or watching the Green Bay Packers (or any sporting event)! I also enjoy traveling often to spend time with my family including my 2 nieces and nephew! Looking forward to a wonderful year!
